How do YOU achieve SUCCESS…Overcoming FEAR II
The day was Saturday, March 4, 1933.
It was the day Franklin Delano Roosevelt was inaugurated as the 32nd president of the United States.
At that time, America was at the height of the great depression.
Unemployment was a staggering 25%.
Wages fell to over 40%.
The stock market lost almost 90% of its value.
Businesses failed and banks closed.
Many Americans were destitute.
It was the worst of times.
This was the economic peril that President Roosevelt was facing on that day in March of 1933.
His 20-minute address to the American people began and the first line is one that will echo through the ages:
“So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is…fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.”
Fear had gripped a nation, and those few words were the exact words the American people needed to hear to begin to break that grip and advance instead of retreat.
What words do YOU need to hear today to break the grip of the fear that has been holding YOU back from achieving YOUR obsessuccess?
Now is the time to overcome YOUR fear.
What are YOU afraid of?
Death?
Loss of a loved one?
Rejection?
Poverty?
Ill health?
Criticism?
Flying?
Public speaking?
People?
There are over 550 identified fears in the world and according to the National Mental Health
Institute in 2023 of all adults with a specific phobia, an estimated 21.9% had serious impairment, 30.0% had moderate impairment, and 48.1% had mild impairment.
Now is the time to overcome YOUR fear.
YOU can overcome YOUR fear.
Remember the steps of the Obsessuccess Philosophy.
- Decision – Make YOUR success decision.
- Belief – have faith
- Discipline
- Disciplined action
- Disciplined sacrifice
- Disciplined persistence
To accomplish anything, YOU must become obsessed with achieving YOUR success decision.
Obsessuccess uses examples of people from all eras, backgrounds, ethnicities, economic situations, religions and circumstances that followed the Obsessuccess philosophy of achievement to achieve their success decision.
YOU can be inspired by their stories of accomplishment and know that YOU can achieve YOUR success decision as well.
Did they feel fear?
Were they scared?
Of course they had their fears.
Of course they were scared.
How did they overcome those fears?
They were so obsessed with achieving their success decision that they had total focus, tunnel vision on the end result of accomplishing what they set out to achieve.
When YOU become so consumed with accomplishing YOUR success, there becomes no time to entertain fear.
YOU don’t consider fear,
YOU don’t consider worry.
YOU don’t consider anxiety.
YOU don’t allow negative thoughts to enter YOUR psyche.
The fire of fear is overcome by the fire of obsession and the fire of obsession is the fire that forges the foundation of Obsessuccess: The Philosophy of Achievement.
Until next time,
Be consumed with the fire that is Obsessuccess.
